GLORIA JEAN "JEANIE" LEAVITT OLIPHANT 6/11/41 - 4/4/11

Jeanie Oliphant passed from this life at approximately 3:20 this morning at Dixie Regional Medical Center.   She is having a wonderful reunion with Grandpa Jack and Grandma Dorene, Gordon and Donny and many others who passed on before her.
She was loved by many and will be remembered by many.    She was a very kind, compassionate woman who loved giving. She would give anything to anyone.   WE LOVE YOU and WILL MISS YOU DEEPLY!!!

Funeral services will be Saturday 11 am at the red chapel ( 274 N 100 W)  Hurricane, Ut.    Viewings will be Friday from 6-8pm at Metcalf Mortuary  on Main in Hurricane then 9-10:30am Saturday at the chapel.  

RELAY FOR LIFE 2011

Again this year we are sponsoring a Leavitt Family Team in memory of Grandpa Jack, Grandma Dorene and Gordon who all passed away while battling with cancer.    If you can come and walk with us on June 3rd or 4th please do if not please donate any amount that you can or purchase a Luminaria.  They are $5.00 per bag.  We are trying to reach a goal of $1500.00 for our team so any little bit adds up.    Here is the link to our team website. 

The relay event is such a special event once you come to one you will never miss it again.   It is not just walking around a track it is remembering those who have lost their battle with cancer and those who are winning.   There are two ceremonies that are special.  1. The opening ceremony that is followed up with a survivor/caregiver lap and the Luminaria ceremony.  They are both beautiful and you will never look at cancer the same way again.  

Baby Blessing

Cory and Natalie will be blessing their baby boy Jack David Ipson on the 27th of march in Arizona.

Congratulations Cory and Natalie on your new baby boy, Jack David Ipson, 02.04.2011, 6:14 a.m.8 lbs. 12 oz. & 19 1/2 inches long, And yes Mom and Jack are doing great. We are so happy to see the Leavitt family growing constantly.

Baby Blessing

Trenton and Danielle Ipson will be blessing their baby on Oct. 10, and would love to have everybody there.  The Blessing will be at the Hurricane Stake Center in the Hurricane Third ward at 1:00.

AUNT FLORENCE 1920 - 2010

Aunt Florence passed away on Sunday September 5th, 2010.   Her funeral was Wednesday Sept 8th, 2010.   It was a beautiful service.  The Oliphant sisters sang a a beautiful version of "O My Father"  they did a great job.   There was not alot of family there unfortunately but that doesn't reflect the kind of woman Aunt Florence was.  She was a wonderful aunt to all of us and I know she is having a grand reunion with Grandma and all of her siblings and parents and Arvel.

FAMILY REUNION 2010

We sure had a great time at reunion.  We missed those who couldn't be there but we still had a great time.
